You can find more of my work at http://www.vimeo.com/ogechi

Please take a look at a reel of my video art. These are images that I made for my masters thesis and they are very close to my heart.
Out of all the things I do with video, I truly consider editing my medium. Simply piecing together images, frame by frame, has the power to sets the mood and tells the story. It’s actually something I’m very passionate about. We could discuss this at length.

I am great finding the story while working independently AND sitting with a director and taking direction! 😉

Please give me a call at 412-551-6707

Let’s discuss rates!

Thanks for your time.
My resume is below.

Sincerely,

Artist Statement 2007

I decided to play a little Sankofa* today.
This pretty much sums up my feelings from Spring ’07 when I first moved westward.
I was an artist searching through history, medium, culture, technology, and representation.
Proud to say, not much has changed on that artistic front because I see that as a strength and a creative wellspring for all my endeavors. 😉
I’m a work in progress.
Moving forward in 2010.
Grow with me on the blog, baby.

*’Sankofa’ is an Akan word that means, “We must go back and reclaim our past so we can move forward;in order to enable us to understand why and how we came to be who we are today.”

Tchaiko Omawale’s ‘Pretty Doll’

The goal was to submit to the Beyond The Still Competition. Go here for more info:

Tchaiko & I came up with the story. I put on the acting hat for this one. Pretty cool.

Maeva Corral’s Fairy Tales

Boom Art House worked with talented lingerie designer Los Angeles Maeva Corral for a creepy video art project that would support her sexy designs that skirt the edge of dark and light. Nice and nasty. Retro and futuristic fetish. Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you “Fairy Tales.”
